An awesome idea to make friends in the blogosphere, Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It’s a great opportunity to find and follow new blogs. Every week, they feature bloggers on their sites and we get to learn more about them as they answer some questions. Each week also features a question that we can share our answers to.
Question of the Week:
Pick a book in your favorite genre that you’d recommend to a reluctant reader.
My favorite genre is Historical Romance and one of the greatest and most unique authors in this genre is Courtney Milan. I would recommend these two books of hers. These are not sappy love stories. And they’re most definitely not your run-in-the-mill of this genre. They’re unique, plot-wise and Courtney Milan’s writing is superb. You have compelling characters, an unassuming but passionate romance, and spot-on dialogue.
You can start with a novella first, if you’r really reluctant to read historical romance. It’s short of course but Courtney Novella is one of those great writers that regardless of the length of her work, be it a novella or a full-length book, the story would still be full and complete.
What about you guys? What are your recommendations this week?

Mary @ Buried under Romance is celebrating her birthday with a two-week long Christmas & Birthday Giveaway Hop. Happy Birthday Mary!!!
This season, I’m celebrating and thankful for a lot of things. First, I’m celebrating the start of my book blog. I’m so happy that I was able to start my very own this year. This has been in my bucket list for a while and what an experience it has been so far. Being part of the book blogging community is really exciting. It’s great to know that so many people enjoy reading and talking about books as much as I do. I’m looking forward to more great things to come in 2014.
This Christmas season, I’m also celebrating the gift of family and great friends. It’s comforting to know that you have these people who will always be there for you, come what may. During this time of the year, my friends and I would get together to dine, talk for hours, and be merry. As for family, I always celebrate Christmas eve and Christmas day with them. We wait until the clock strikes twelve on Christmas eve and then we eat Noche Buena, play games, and exchange gifts.
Everybody can get a chance to win the grand prize! A new Kindle Paperwhite! Plus, 5 other book goodies! So check out the Rafflecopter below and enter as many entries as you can for a greater chance of winning. This giveaway hop will run from December 20 – January 3.
