The Chocolate Book Tag

Chocolates and Books are two of my favorite things. They just make me very happy! 🙂 So I’m so happy that Keira and Nikki @ Lazy Book Lovers tagged me for the Chocolate Book Tag. Check out their post here.

Dark Chocolate — A book that covers a dark topic (abuse, domestic violence, rape, loneliness, bullying, death, etc): the topic of abuse, bullying, and discrimination is not the whole of Eleanor & Park but when it comes to the forefront on specific scenes, those just get you right at the heart.

eleanor & park

White Chocolate — Your favorite light-hearted/humorous read: this book was that perfect blend of hearty humor, laugh-out-load instances, sizzling chemistry, and incredible love story that will make you want to re-live and re-read it again and again and again.

match me if you can

Milk Chocolate — A book that has a lot of hype that you’re dying to read: I’ve read nothing but raving reviews about this one and I’m super excited to read about Isla and Josh. Plus, I was finally able to get a copy of this one so I’m so ready to dive into it.

isla and the happily ever after

Chocolate with a caramel center — Name a book that made you feel all gooey in the middle while you were reading it: this book gave me all the FEELS. From beginning to end, it was totally engaging and completely enthralling.

Wafer-free Kit-Kat — Name a book that surprised you lately: Okay, to say this book surprised me is putting it a bit lightly. It was more like, this book bulldozed the heck out of my mind and left me flat on the pavement. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

the opportunist

Snickers — A book that you are going nuts about: This book! This book! Amazing heroine and a plot that kept me on my toes and at the edge of my seat. I wanted it to be over and still I want it to never end!

rites of passage

Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows — What book would you turn to for a comfort read? This is basically a no-brainer, especially for those who know me. I think I re-read this twice or thrice a year, when I find myself missing it, when the books I’ve been reading are draining the fun out of me, or when I just need my comfort read. This book! 🙂

hostage to pleasure

Box of chocolates — What series have you read that you feel has a wide variety and a little something for everyone? This is one of the greatest stories I’ve ever read. And it was great growing up with this series as well.

    1. My review for The Opportunist will actually go live on Monday but let me just say it’s a story about how one loves with lies. I hope you can check out my review when it goes live! 🙂

  1. Thanks for tagging me! I love chocolate so this seems like a fun meme. I’ve only read Isla and the Happily Ever After and The Chocolate Temptation from your list. How clever of you to include a Laura Florand novel in there. 😛

    1. I was already falling for Josh when I read the sneak peek from Netgalley *sigh* I can’t wait to start this one. 🙂 Looking forward to your Chocolate Book Tag 🙂

I would love to read your thoughts on this post.
