Technically, it’s a Sunday but this week’s topic was really hard for me. I have zero imagination when it comes to casting my favorite book characters. But I still want to do this theme so this is me trying my best. I just decided to go with the MC pairs because casting the whole book would be like me going into space, which is never going to happen. LOL. So here we go…
Nick Scott and Jayne Morgan
Sebastian Stan as Nick Scott and Anna Torv as Jayne Morgan from PLAIN JAYNE by Laura Drewry: Besides the incredible similarity these two have with the cover actors of the book, I’d say they would have the subtle chemistry needed in a friends-to-lovers story.
Heath Champion and Annabelle Granger
Gabriel Macht as Heath Champion and Kelly Reilly as Annabelle Granger from MATCH ME IF YOU CAN by Susan Elizabeth Phillips: This novel is one of my favorite books of all time so I would love it if Gabriel Macht, whom I adore, plays one of my book heroes! 🙂
Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sheffield
Michael Fassbender as Anthony Bridgerton and Emily Blunt as Kate Sheffield from THE VISCOUNT WHO LOVED ME by Julia Quinn: Gosh, if these two would work together for this Julia Quinn book to movie adaptation, I will be one of the happiest in the world. LOL. Michael Fassbender is a no-brainer. And I love Emily Blunt to bits. And they’re both great actors. I can already imagine all those sexual tension veiled as antagonism in the beginning!
Jace Wayland and Clary Fray
Alex Pettyfer as Jace Wayland and Shailene Woodley as Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare: Basically, Alex Pettyfer should have played Jace in the movie adaptation of City of Bones. Period. As to why he didn’t, I’ll continue to ask the universe, why! why? WHY?! 🙂 And I just love Shailene. She should do more movies.

I love the idea of Shai as Clary. I think if she didn’t do Divergent, that could have worked.
