The people of Kaya die in pairs. When one lover dies, the other does too. So it has been for thousands of years – until Ava.

For although her bondmate, Avery, has been murdered and Ava’s soul has been torn in two, she is the only one who has ever been strong enough to cling to life. Vowing revenge upon the barbarian queen of Pirenti, Ava’s plan is interrupted when she is instead captured by the deadly prince of her enemies.

Prince Ambrose has been brought up to kill and hate. But when he takes charge of a strangely captivating Kayan prisoner and is forced to survive with her on a dangerous island, he must reconsider all he holds true . . .

In a violent country like Pirenti, where emotion is scorned as a weakness, can he find the strength to fight for the person he loves . . . even when she’s his vengeful enemy?

Avery is a sweeping, romantic fantasy novel about loss and identity, and finding the courage to love against all odds.

Top Ten Tuesday (34): Top Ten Authors I’ve Only Read One Book From But NEED to Read More

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the gals at The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Authors I’ve Only Read One Book From But NEED to Read More…

TARRYN FISHER. I’ve only read The Opportunist from her Love Me with Lies series and that book just about destroyed me. I can’t wait to read the rest of her books.

JOY N. HENSLEY. Rites of Passage is one of my favorite reads of the year and Joy Hensley’s debut novel. But she needs to write more books so I have more to read. LOL 🙂

MORGAN MATSON. I’ve only read Since You’ve Been Gone and absolutely adored the story as well as her writing style. She should definitely be on this list.

JENNY HAN. I definitely adored To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and its sequel is one of my most anticipated releases for 2015. I love how she writes so I’m definitely going to checking out her other series.

LILY MAXTON. I was really impressed with The Wager and gushed about it HERE. There are a lot of impressive writers in the historical romance genre, both old and new, and it’s always great to find one that speaks to you and your reader’s mind. I’m definitely on the look out for more from this author.

Blog Ahead! 30 Days, 30+ Pre-Scheduled Posts

blog ahead banner

I am taking up the challenge for Blog Ahead! Blog Ahead is a ‘bloggery version of NaNoWriMo’ hosted by Anna @ Herding Cats and Burning Soup. It will run for the whole month of November.

The basic goal of this activity is to ‘get ahead with your blog posts’ so it’s all about writing those posts early and pre-scheduling them. Thirty days of November means thirty additional pre-scheduled posts for you.

Personally, I think pre-scheduling is a gift for a blogger like me. When I was starting out with Girl meets Books, I would often write my posts a day before or on the day itself that the post is supposed to go live. Granted, I still have those days but now they’re few and far apart.

This is such a great opportunity to get those posts written well in advance and ready to go. So if you’re interested, sign up HERE and join the challenge.

Status Update:

As of November 1, I have 8 pre-scheduled posts. End-goal? 38 pre-scheduled posts! 🙂
