This is a monthly feature where I give a run-down of what had transpired in the blog during the previous month. I’ve basically borrowed the format from Jennifer @ Feminist Fairy Tale Reviews.
Books I’ve read:
5+ stars
- The Piper’s Son by Melina Marchetta
5 stars
- Asking for Trouble by Tessa Bailey
4 1/2 stars
- The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan
- Rock Courtship by Nalini Singh
- Made for You by Lauren Layne
- Officer Off Limits by Tessa Bailey
4 stars
- One Night of Scandal by Elle Kennedy
- Shameless by Nina Lemay
3 1/2 stars
- Prima Donna by Laura Drewry
- Staking His Claim by Tessa Bailey
Book I’ve reviewed:
- Forged by Desire by Bec McMaster
- All Lined Up by Cora Carmack
- The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher
- Rites of Passage by Joy N. Hensley
- 45 Pounds by K.A. Barson
- Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh
- You Own Me by Shiloh Walker
- The Suffragette Scandal by Courtney Milan
- Make-Believe Wedding by Sarah Mayberry
- Shameless by Nina Lemay
- The Sweetest Seduction by Crista McHugh
My favorites this September:
- The Piper’s Son by Melina Marchetta: I thought nothing could possibly equal JELLICOE ROAD and I have to say I was wrong. The Piper’s Son offered such an amazing reading experience.
- Book boyfriend of the month: BRENT MASON from Asking for Trouble by Tessa Bailey. All of Tessa Bailey’s heroes are sexy and swoon-worthy but for me, Brent Mason takes the cake. His and Hayden’s story is the best type of enemies to lovers story that I really, really enjoyed reading.
- New author find: Tessa Bailey (I am loving her Entangled Brazen releases!)
Memes I’ve participated in:
- Quote-tastic Monday
- #20: The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher
- #21: The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
- #22: Lullabies by Lang Leav
- #23: Asking for Trouble by Tessa Bailey
- #24: The Piper’s Son by Melina Marchetta
- Top Ten Tuesday
- Waiting on Wednesday
- #43: One of the Guys by Lisa Aldin
- #44: I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
- #45: Say Yes to the Marquess by Tessa Dare
- #46: Love and Other Theories by Alexis Bass
- Thirsty Thursday
- #11: Dream Book Cast
- #12: Steamiest Almost-Kiss
- #13: Tear-inducing Goodbye
Other bookish stuff:
Well done on all your posting. Where do you find the time?

Melina Marchetta is my favorite author, so it makes me so happy that you loved The Piper’s Son. Tom Mackee – my heart breaks whenever I think about that kid. Love him and Tara so much. ❤
Glad that you rated Made for You so high – I have that one on NG and am excited to read it soon.
I loved the Hook Up too! Can't wait for the next book!
Gonna check out this Tessa Bailey book now…

Gosh, The Piper’s Son was another genius work from Melina Marchetta. I feel the same way about Tom! and Tara! Those emails! 🙂 Made for You was even better than the first book in the series, imo. 🙂 And yes to the next contemporary book from Kristen Callihan 🙂 As for Tessa Bailey, go for it Danielle! Her alpha heroes are ❤
