The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @
Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~. It’s a chance to share News; a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Last Week on the blog

I had good book surprises this past week: one, when my copy of THIS SONG WILL SAVE MY LIFE arrived very early in the mail and second, when I finally had my hands on a copy of ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. I am so excited to read these books!

I was also able to catch a screening of Tom Hiddleston’s CORIOLANUS, which was a fantastic play!! I didn’t get to see it live (I wish I was in the UK) but watching it on the big screen was a pretty fantastic experience as well.

If you have time, check out my other blog, Crack-tastic Confessions.

  1. I Love love LOVE This Song Will Save Your Life! I hope you enjoy it. 🙂 Such a sweet but kind of sad story…all at once. The Raven Boys is also a huge favourite of mine. 🙂 I’m really keen for book #3 coming out soon!

    1. It. Was. AMAZING. And not just because I’m a total Tom Hiddleston fanatic. But also because it was really, really good. All of the cast members were great and the approach to and execution of the play was fantastic. I hope you get to see it soon. 🙂

  2. I LOVED Isla. I hope you do, too. I had a love/hate relationship with This Song Will Save Your Life, but ended up being pretty pleased with it in the end. It wasn’t a light read, but it was well-written and thought-provoking.

I hope you enjoy all your new books!

  3. The Raven Boys was really slow for me, but I enjoyed The Dream Thieves so much better. And I can’t wait for book 3 coming out next month. Also, I struggled with This Song Will Save Your Life. I wanted to love it, but I really struggled with the main character. Maybe you’ll like it more than I did though. Have a great week!

    1. The Raven Boys is so far so good for me. I hope my enthusiasm for it is sustained. And yes, please read the rest of Stephanie Perkins’s work. Lola and the Boy Next Door is my favorite and I am going to read Isla and the Happily Ever After very soon since. 🙂
